Most venues treat a small wedding as a smaller version of their real product. A cut-down menu. A spare room. Whoever is free that day.
We run it the other way. Every micro wedding at our venues gets the same kitchen, the same planning process and the same on-the-day oversight as the five to six full-size weddings the family runs each week. The chefs cook it fresh and plate it to order. Your coordinator keeps in touch through the months before. George Ross is on site when your wedding runs, and he travels between both venues when both are busy.

Say your vows on site and walk straight into drinks and dinner. Ask about a simple, registry-style ceremony.
Canapés, standing tables and a dance floor instead of a formal seated dinner. Ask about the wine-barrel cocktail setup at the winery.
Venue, food, drinks, staff and coordination in one quote, with clear inclusions. Yarra Valley packages include estate wines and no separate charge for cake cutting, corkage or cleaning.
In Melbourne or the Yarra Valley. Just the two of you, or a handful of people. Ask us; it depends on your date and venue.
Celebrate the years with the people who were there for them, or hold a ceremony and celebration without a legal marriage.

It is the first question most couples ask, and a fair one. At Vogue Ballroom, flexible layouts bring the space in around your guest count, so the tables, dance floor and lighting fit the size of your wedding rather than the size of the building.
At the Yarra Valley venue, the reception space has layouts for small groups as well as larger parties, and the ceremony, photos, drinks and reception all happen on one estate.
The best way to judge is to stand in the room.
“Our night was kept somewhat simple, but it went flawlessly, was personal and so so memorable.”
“We are also so appreciative of the flexibility and last-minute changes that were accommodated so close to our wedding day.”
“The team was exceptionally easy to work with during planning, always professional, organised, and responsive.”
“Our guests couldn't stop talking about the food, the service, and how beautiful everything looked.”
“My husband is wheelchair assist, the reception staff were exceptionally helpful, they even offered to wheel him in.”
“Officiating and MCing weddings here is such a joy.”

Sanchal and their partner came from food-focused families and called themselves foodies. They also had what they described as “out of the box” ideas for the day. That is a real test for any venue kitchen.
Their coordinators, Chloe and Alex, worked through the details with them over many months. Chef Raj heard them out and built a fusion menu around what both families wanted. On the night, the function manager, Dilki, and her team ran the service.
Their verdict: the food “received so much praise on the night”, and the wedding was “kept somewhat simple, but it went flawlessly”.
Cooked fresh on site. At Vogue Ballroom, dishes are plated to order, not pre-cooked or pre-plated.
A senior kitchen team: an executive chef and two long-serving chefs de cuisine.
Menu tastings every 8–10 weeks for booked couples, so you taste the food and see the portions before your day.
Cultural and fusion menus: the kitchen works from a Western base and adapts for cultural requirements.
Allergies taken seriously. At the Yarra Valley venue, guests with allergies get separate, clearly marked service.
Estate wines: the Yarra Valley venue pours wines made on the estate.

George Ross started in hospitality in 1983, as a 13-year-old waiter at a reception centre in Elwood. He kept working weddings while studying at the University of Melbourne and while running his own food business for 18 years, often at one or two weddings a week as a waiter, planner or MC.
In 2014, George and his wife Angela opened Vogue Ballroom in Burwood East. In 2018, they opened Vines of the Yarra Valley. Their children have worked in the business too; their son Chris started at 13 and learned every role.
